Bit-Quality App

Application for managing quality control in production.

Purpose of implementation:

  • Eliminating manual form filling and then rewriting data into a spreadsheet
  • Access to data from any place and device
  • Reduction of costs related to the purchase of complex applications and data input devices (tablets, scanners)
  • Using smartphones for data registration and photo transfer
  • Online presentation of results directly at the production facility

The data was stored in the form of excel files. Poor quality were not documented well (no photo). Access to data was possible only from a desktop computer in the office. Employees wasted time collecting, rewriting and organizing data.

The application consists of 3 interfaces:

  • Data input form
  • Visual Dashboard with filter
  • Administrator / user panel

A person who is checking the quality in production enters data using a smartphone with internet access. He can also discuss the operator’s results directly in production by sharing his data on the smartphone screen using the built-in report. Each non-compliance is documented with a smartphone photo and sent to the database

The data is stored in the cloud but you can export this data to various formats (we use excel)

Bit-Setup App

Application for monitoring machine changeover times:

Purpose of implementing the solution:

  • Real-time monitoring of machine changeover times
  • No timing with a stopwatch
  • Using smartphones for time registration
  • Eliminating manual filling in forms and then rewriting data into a spreadsheet
  • Access to data from any place and device
  • Reduction of costs associated with the purchase of large applications and data entry devices

The data was stored in paper and excel files. Access to data was possible only from a desktop computer in the office. Time measurements by using a stopwatch and recorded in a paper form.

The application consists of:

  • Administrator / user panel
  • Operator panel
  • The main panel of the application shows graphically current changes and recently completed one (two days) – it can be displayed on a large monitor in the production hall in order to visualize the changes. Access to the panel is possible from any device.

The operator panel appears after loading a QR code with a smartphone, individual for each employee. The worker only selects the machine number and presses the Start button. After the adjustment is complete, it scans the QR code again and presses the Stop button.

The data is stored in the cloud but you can export this data to various formats (csv, xls, html, json).

Bit-Monit App – status: development

Application for monitoring machine operation in real time.

Purpose of implementing the solution:

  • Real-time monitoring of up-time and machine downtime
  • Eliminating the need for the operator to enter production data every hour
  • Increasing the reliability of the obtained data
  • Elimination of rewriting data into a spreadsheet
  • Access to data from any place and device
  • Reduction of costs associated with the purchase of large applications and data entry devices

The data was stored in paper and excel files. Access to data was possible only from a desktop computer in the office. The operators reported the production data on paper sheets every hour, then the data was prescribed by foreman to an excel file. The credibility of the data depended on the level of operator involvement.

In line with our philosophy, we do not use commercial solutions, therefore we test cheap smart micro controllers and open source data server.

Dashboard shows main KPI’s:

  • Up-time chart
  • Active machines
  • Actual machines state (work/stop) chart
  • Actual breakedowns
  • Actual Setups
  • Quality Index

– Can be displayed on main big screen on production shop floor. Access to panel is available from device equipped with web browser .

QR code

Operator scans QR code and have access to interface

Data from machine is automatically stored in cloud by sensors which monitors machine parameters.

Data can be transferred to different formats: (csv, xls, html, json).
